I'm sure we all wake up every morning, thinking that this will be the day. The sun will shine, the birds will be singing, all the traffic lights on the way in to work or school will be green, and life will take on a shining new meaning. It will only take that one last little touch, that one thing that's been missing from our mundane, dreary lives.

Life, however, generally has other plans. It rains, you hit all the lights on red, and the birds, rather than singing, are roadkill.

So, is that one touch, that one special thing that's going to turn life around, another blog? Of course not. Then why am I starting a blog?

Because all the cool kids are doing it.

Because I have a severe case of "I want to show off my knitting" and the web is as good a place as any.

Because I think it might be fun.

Because I can always use more feedback when I start to go a little, shall we say, over the edge when I get enthused about something.

Pretty much just because.

So, with most of the obligatory first-post stuff out of the way, I'll be back soon with some pictures of the knitting I want to show off.

Knit on.
